Previously known as the Employee Engagement Awards, Korn Ferry Engaged Performance Awards have been developed to publicly recognize organizations that have built superior levels of engagement and enablement, as measured through their recent people surveys.
Korn Ferry uses two key question statements for each engagement and enablement category, which are commonly used across all of our client employee surveys around the world:
These question statements are proven measures of organizational commitment, and in themselves are strong predictors of overall levels of employee motivation, loyalty and well-being.
Our objective is to employ a set of measures that are clear and simple to understand, as well as to use question statements that are consistently used by the vast majority of our clients.
As the customer Net Promoter Score has become an established and widely-used platform for understanding customer satisfaction, similarly we believe levels of employee pride and advocacy provide an equivalent straightforward reading of employee engagement and enablement.
The calculation is simple.
We use the percentage of respondents either ‘strongly agreeing’ or ‘agreeing’ with the two question statements (using a five-point Likert scale). The percentage of respondents for each question statement is then averaged to determine an overall score, which forms the basis for the organization rankings.
We then compare the score of the organization to Korn Ferry benchmarks to determine if they are winners.
